FREE places in Winchester Half Marathon

FUNDRAISING CONTINUES TO ENSURE WINCHESTER GETS THE SPORTS FACILITIES IT NEEDS AND DESERVES

Winchester SALT is pleased to be partnering with the new Winchester Half Marathon, which will be held on Sunday 25th September 2016 to tie in with the Winchester Community Games at Bar End.

We have lots of FREE places in this inaugural half marathon, which are available to runners willing to raise sponsorship, to help us improve Winchester's community sports faciltiies.

All you have to do is register for the event – at www.winchesterhalf.co.uk – as follows:

  • complete the registration form, entering 'Winchester SALT' when you are asked if you are running for charity;
  • then, when you get to the payment page, enter 'SALT16' in the coupon code box; this will set your entry fee to zero.

Once your entry has been accepted, we will be in touch with information about how to set up your sponsorship page on LocalGiving and about the post-race celebrations that will take place at the Winchester Community Games.

We would like to invite you to take up one of our free places, and very much hope you will join us on 25/9 – and perhaps you know of others who run and are passionate about improving local sports facilities, in which case please alert them to this opportunity. But please don't leave it too long to register, as the 2016 Winchester Half Marathon is expected to fill up very quickly!

If you'd like any further information prior to registering, please don't hesitate to get in touch via [email protected]

One year on from our 2012 hours campaign

We're now one year on from our '2012 hours' campaign that kicked off our community fundraising for new sports facilities in Winchester. I just watched the video again, and thought others might like to as well – all the issues are as relevant as ever!
